Submissions for October 2025.
I’m currently delving into inner child work, so I felt inspired to create something for this theme using my old home videos. When I think of “Soul,” I can’t help but imagine the purest form of it in a child, exploring the world for the first time. Initially, I created a soundscape and planned to leave it as is. However, I decided to experiment with some clips, syncing and matching them, and adding sound bites from different clips that weren’t shown.
Footage taken of Liquid Light Projections made with a slide projector. Footage manipulated with a kaleidoscopic effect. “The cosmos is within us. We are made of star-stuff. We are a way for the universe to know itself.” - Carl Sagan
When it falls from the twig, from the branch, from the tree As it falls through the air, does the leaf know it's free?
A cover of one of my favourite halloween-y songs from an animated show called Over the Garden Wall! oooo scary
I once asked a class in Lithuania to draw what they think their soul looks like, a student asked what I think mine looks like, here is my recreation of what I drew
The soul is said to be 21 grams. Exactly as much as an overweight colibri.
I just always had this idea of gargantuan axolotls lurking in the river of afterlife, gobbling up souls as they swimmingly go about their day under the murky waters
I'm exploring the history behind the corsets and bodices made at Market Harborough's Symington Factory. I'm particularly interested in the fibres used to make the garments and the souls who worked here, to cloth thousands more over the many years it was open. Early next year I'll be showing my work in a group exhibition, along with other members of @second_turning_textile_gp

Just a little piece of writing about writing, the solace of a journal, and the question of a Soul. An ode to the Soul Keeper, if you will (I won't).
I nourish my soul by doing, unpacking, learning, rediscovering, reflecting, and just being. Everyday. Watercolour and Indian ink on scrap watercolour paper.
A painting I did for my mum that I don’t like that much but the background is nice
I used an ambient piece I've been working on as a base, and layered it with a field recording I took in the Lake District of birdsong. I've always felt that nature is good for the soul. I then retuned the whole piece to 432Hz (where A is at 432Hz instead of 440Hz), as this alternative tuning is supposed to be more spiritually calming than the Western standard.
