Submissions for February 2026.
Two birds with one stone, work and art. (Or work of art?)
These are recent places my heart has been at
Papercut animation using 35mm photography. I only take pictures of things that make my heart glow :)
Linocut prints of my mum and my dog. First time trying linocutting and pretty pleased with the results!
Inspired by the flights I have to take to see my love. (And a bit by the hatred towards Brexit, catch the hidden details.) Submitting from an airport.
Just one granulated colour used - Supervision 1747. Last year on Valentine's day my grandfather's heart stopped. He passed away in his dreams. I can only hope his transition into the beyond was not scary.
A collection of photos from some of the homes I’ve lived in over the years.

I applied to become a living organ donor this month, and while I was reading up on the risks and procedures, I couldn't stop thinking about the intimacy of surgery in general. I found a song about the topic and resonated with it so much I felt the need to cover it.
I like to show my love through food, mainly baked goods as love the idea of spending hours on something to be consumed by a loved one in a matter of seconds. The fleeting nature of the this act making it all the more special. Baking always with love x Three special bakes this month - frangipan jam tarts for valentines for all the female loves in my life, cookies for a friends funeral - giving a special box to his parents and a year of the horse cake for a besties 30th birthday (coriander an panela cake with burnt honey and browned butter icing, roasted strawberries and cream and caramelised pecans)
I had so many plans to create a meticulous tribute to my partner, so of course I had no time to make it happen.
Photo of a heart found in a seemingly incongruous place. Though, it is meant to be there.
scan of a love poem (Feb 2026)
I think these little alien looking mollusks search in the darkest coldest part of the sea floor, looking for broken hearts that’s been thrown away . They store them inside their bodies and slowly mending the broken hearts. When they’re all healed up, the sea angels send them back to the surface, ready to love and be loved again!
I 💙 to use what I have and find. I am a hoarder of all things that I see potential in. Anything others see as worthless is even more likely to be stored for an unknown future project - just to prove to myself and others that we often overlook too much. That too much goes into landfill. That we throw away items far too readily - ever in pursuit of the next shiny, new trend. My latest project theme is Trash To Treasure, which is right up my street! The photos show cloth I've held onto since my uni days way back in the 90's. I'm trying my hand at quilting. My collected ceramic sherds are the main focal point of my exploration for this project. Particularly the colour palette. I love how that faded, stripped fabric, which until recently was a favourite tea towel of mine which belonged to my mum originally; looks so beautiful alongside that field find. I've also set myself a rather tough challenge to somehow turn a pile of these plastic rings, (which hold highlighter tape); into brooches. I love brooches!
anatomical heart animation created from pen drawings
'Home is where the heart is' - I took a field recording from our windowsill in South East London and used the audio transients to trigger a synth and put a drone underneath. I also used a drum synthesizer to create a heartbeat throughout for good measure.
